On September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of 17 goals: the Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs – to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda that has to be achieved over the next 15 years.
Advancing the UN SDGs through Engineering is the aim of WFEO.
WFEO is actively invested in the fulfillment of the SDGs through multiple actions undertaken by our members and Standing Technical Committees since several years.
You can see below all the actions undertaken by WFEO for each SDG, wherever engineering is needed.
The WFEO Engineering 2030 Plan activates the WFEO Strategic Objectives and demonstrates the commitment by WFEO, its members and partners, to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals through engineering.
Goal 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere
Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture
Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning
