WFEO-WGIC-UNGGIM White paper: Geospatial Engg Sustainable Development


The release of the WFEO, World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC) and UN Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) joint report entitled “White Paper: Resilient Infrastructure – Geospatial & BIM” (available here) has been announced on 9th June during the WFEO Webinar: HLPF 2020 – Side-event.

This White Paper, produced by the WFEO, WGIC (WFEO associate) and UN-GGIM provides insights and data about the value of Integrated Geospatial and Building Information Modelling (BIM) solutions to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030) with a specific focus on resilient infrastructure. Besides covering the need for resilient infrastructure, it also addresses challenges in the adoption of integrated geospatial and BIM solutions. Furthermore, it provides the reader with an assessment of global infrastructure investments, along with an overview of the geospatial and BIM technology ecosystem for resilient infrastructure.
