Launch of Engineering Education Review (EER) journal at World Engineers Convention 2023

The first English Language Engineering Education journal from China – Engineering Education Review (EER) – was launched at World Engineers Convention 2023 (WEC 2023) during the session hosted by the WFEO Committee on Education in Engineering (WFEO CEIE) in Prague on 10 October 2023.

The EER Journal is another collaborative project between WFEO and ICEE and demonstrates the strong ongoing relationship between the two organizations.

The Engineering Education Review (EER) is published by the Tsinghua University and is currently the first English review journal to be published in China in the field of engineering education. EER is committed to publish high-quality articles systematically reviewing research progress and achievements, define the education development process, inspire academic innovation, and build a high-level international platform of academic communications for experts and scholars dedicated in the disciplinary field of engineering education worldwide.

Led by an outstanding Editorial Board of international experts, EER focuses on professional development, aims to display cutting-edge and topical issues, to lead disciplinary innovation, and to promote academic communication. The journal publishes critical analysis, summary, and evaluation of previous research to expand new perspectives, to guide paradigm shifts in engineering education, and to improve academic discourse and practice systems.

Former Presidents of WFEO, Dr Marlene Kanga and Prof Gong Ke, Prof Wang Sun-Yu Executive Director of the International Centre For Engineering Education under the auspices of UNESCO (ICEE) and Prof. Hans Hoyer, Executive Director of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES), have been nominated as Co Editors-in-Chief of Engineering Education and Research, which has been established at the ICEE, Tsinghua University, China.
