WFEO is actively invested in the fulfillment of the SDGs

WFEO is actively invested in the fulfillment of the SDGs through multiple actions undertaken by our members, Standing Technical Committees, and Working Groups since several years.

The CEE has chosen to focus its efforts on SDG 13 – Climate Action, and in particular the following indicators;

  • 13.1 – Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries
  • 13.2 – Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies, and planning
  • 13.3 – Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning

Also, the Committee recognises the importance of coordinating their efforts with activity in SDGs 6, 7, 9 and 11. This will be managed through CEE members that are tasked with being the representative for liaising with the Committees and Working Groups that lead on each of these SDGs.
