The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) is deeply saddened by the passing of Engineer Vladimir Mendizabal, a distinguished engineering leader and committed contributor to the international engineering community.
Mr. Mendizabal served as President of the Sociedad de Ingenieros de Bolivia and as First Secretary of the Academia Panamericana de la Ingeniería (API). He was also an active member of WFEO and the Pan American Federation of Engineering Societies (UPADI).
Throughout his professional life, Mr. Mendizabal dedicated his career to advancing the engineering profession across the Americas, contributing to regional cooperation, professional excellence, and supporting the role of engineers in addressing societal and development challenges in the Pan-American region.
WFEO expresses its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and to the engineering community of Bolivia and the Americas. His contributions and dedication to the profession will be remembered with respect.
