The Technical Chamber of Greece will organize the online workshop titled “Lessons learnt after the Feb 6th earthquake sequence in Turkiye. The Hellenic Reconnaissance Mission of April 21-25”, on the 12th of July 2023 at 17:00 (Athens Time).
The theme of the event will be the recent earthquakes that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria in early February and the lessons learned from the earthquake-affected areas and their implications for future disaster mitigation efforts.
The Webinar aims to provide a dynamic platform for the members of a Greek mission of 17 scientists /engineering experts from the National Technical University of Athens as well as from the Hellenic Association for Earthquake Engineering (HAEE / ETAM) that visited the earthquake affected areas in Turkey, to share their experiences, insights and findings with a wider international audience.
Prof. José Macharé, WFEO Executive Council member and Chair of the Disaster Risk Management Committee, will be a speaker at the webinar.
