UN/WFEO Call for Innovations - Youth Creativity for Sustainable Transport

Submit your Innovation

2020-03-19: [Important] Given the current concerns regarding coronavirus disease (COVID-19), it has been decided that the Second United Nations Global Sustainable Transport Conference will be postponed. Accordingly, the deadline of this Call for Innovations will be extended, and the submission will remain open. Please stay tuned for future announcements.

Do you have an innovative idea, or have you ever developed an innovative solution that would help accelerate progress towards sustainable transport? If yes, then the United Nations wants to hear from you!

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), in collaboration with the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), is inviting young innovators from around the globe to submit their creativity for sustainable transport.

The Call is extended (deadline to be decided), and the winning innovations will be presented at the Sustainable Transport Conference in Beijing.

All young innovators globally, including scientists, engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs, practitioners, students, etc. are welcome to participate and make contributions to achieving sustainable transport development and the related SDG 11.2.

Your ideas or solutions (described in English) will be reviewed carefully by a group of experts, and should preferably be scientific, engineering, technological or management innovations, which are related to the focused topics of the Sustainable Transport Conference.

Innovators have the chance to show their ideas or solutions at the exhibition of the 2nd UN Global Sustainable Transport Conference and even make a presentation at the “Science, Engineering and Technology Forum” of this Conference.

Subject to the availability of funds, some limited resources may be made available to support their participation in person.

Submit your innovation (via a third-party service) today. Any queries can be sent to wfeo-ceit (at) wfeo.org.
