Dr. Wael R. Abdulmajeed is a distinguished professional engineer and educator. He earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Baghdad in 2009.

Dr. Wael began his academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Baghdad in 2002, later assuming the role of department head from 2010 to 2014. He was actively engaged in research and education, specializing in mechatronics, mobile robots, articulated robots, UAVs, artificial hands, and applied mechanics.

As a senior member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of esteemed organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Iraqi Engineers Union (IEU), and American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), he has demonstrated his commitment to professional excellence.

He has served on the Iraqi Engineers Union Council since 2015 and led the Cultural Activities Committee. Additionally, he chaired the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) Baghdad Branch in 2017.

He is the official representative of IEU in the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP) And the International federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES). Recognized for his expertise, he also serves as an ABET evaluator and holds positions on the Executive Council of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) since 2002 and the Executive Board of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP) from 2022.

He is a prolific author and reviewer, contributing significantly to the field of professional and educational engineering. His scholarly work includes numerous scientific and professional articles and books, and he has served as a reviewer for various prestigious journals and international conferences and as a referee for several international engineering competitions and awards.
