SUMMARY:WFEO Side event at UN Climate Change Conference COP30
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe United Nations Climate Change Conference COP30 is curre
 ntly being held in Belém\, Brazil until 21 November 2025.\n\nCOP30 will b
 ring together world leaders and negotiators from the member states (or Par
 ties) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to further
  global progress\, with business leaders\, young people\, climate scientis
 ts\, Indigenous Peoples\, and civil society sharing insights and best prac
 tices to strengthen global\, collective and inclusive climate action. \n\n
 WFEO\, in partnership with the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC)\, the
  Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institut
 ion of Engineering and Technology (IET) will present the side event titled
  Engineering for climate resilience: water planning\, energy transition\, 
 biodiversity gain\, on 18 November\, in the Side Event Room 6\, at 3:00 - 
 4:30 PM (BRT) Brazil time / 19:00 - 20:30 PM (CET) Paris time. \n\nThe sid
 e event will be livestreamed in this page.\n\nThe side event will explore 
 critical infrastructure resilience in the face of a changing climate. It w
 ill include discussions on public tools for hydrological projections in wa
 ter-stressed islands\; energy transition through electrification\, distrib
 uted energy resources\, and digital access\; and regenerative design for n
 ature and community resilience.\n\nThe updated Model Code of Practice on C
 limate Change Adaptation and Resilience for Engineers will be released dur
