DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe  WFEO Committee on Disaster Risk Management (CDRM) and 
 the Peruvian Engineers Association (CIP) are organizing the webinar "Resil
 ient cultural heritage to build capacity and reduce disaster risks" to be 
 held on 2 February\, at 3 PM in London and 4 PM in Paris.\n\nThe registrat
 ion link is available in this link.\n\nCultural heritage plays a double ro
 le in disaster risk management: it needs special protection due to its spe
 cific vulnerabilities in the face of disasters\, and at the same time\, pr
 ovides resources to reduce risks\, such as traditional knowledge and pract
 ices\, and to engage communities in building capacity and increasing resil
 ience. This talk will review the evolution of DRM of cultural heritage\, f
 rom key concepts to good practices and lessons learned\, through internati
 onal programs and initiatives\, including innovatives methodologies to eng
 age communities and increase their capacity and resilience\, in order to p
