 ational Headquarters in Lisbon\, on March 4th\, the celebrations of World 
 Engineering Day 2024\, by organising a Conference with the theme “Energy
  Transition and Sustainability”\, from 2:30 to 6:00 PM Lisbon Time (GMT)
  / 3:30 to 7:00 PM Paris Time (GMT+1)\, which will feature a panel of pres
 tigious speakers.\n\nEnergy production and use are\, more than ever\, at t
 he center of countries' strategic considerations. The main objective of th
 e event will be to encourage dialogue for the implementation of scientific
  research and technological development projects in the field of energy sy
 stems engineering\, which support industrial transformation\, innovation a
 nd the global economic structure.\n\nIn the context of growing tensions in
  the relationship between humans and nature\, it is crucial that engineers
  and policymakers prioritize a balanced approach between economic progress
 \, social justice and environmental preservation\, which are fundamental t
