DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembl
 y (UNEA-6) will take place from 26 February to 1 March\, 2024 at the Unite
 d Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi\, Kenya. \n
 \nDeadline for registration (link availalable in this page) has been exten
 ded to 23 February 2024.\n\nAs the world’s top decision-making body on t
 he environment\, UNEA aims to help restore harmony between humanity and na
 ture\, improving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable people. \n\nUN
 EA-6 will focus on how multilateralism can help tackle the triple planetar
 y crisis of climate change\, nature and biodiversity loss\, and pollution 
 and waste. Backed by strong science\, political resolve and engagement wit
 h society\, the Assembly will be an opportunity for world governments\, ci
 vil society groups\, the scientific community and the private sector to sh
 ape the global environmental policy.\n\nAs the planet’s only universal m
 embership forum for the environment\, UNEA provides a unique platform for 
 courageous decisions and new ideas to chart a bold plan of collective envi
 ronmental action. In so doing\, UNEA-6 will support the achievement of the
  sustainable development goals. \n\nWFEO Executive Council Member Nathanie
 l Matalanga will participate on behalf of Committee on Engineering and the
  Environment (WFEO-CEE).\nWFEO-CEE member Lylian Coelho Ferreira is also i
