DESCRIPTION:\nThe virtual 3rd United Nations Open Science Conference will b
 e held from 8 to 10 February 2023\, 9.00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (New York Time)
  at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. \n\nThe conference is org
 anized by the Dag Hammarskjöld Library of the United Nations Department o
 f Global Communications in collaboration with the Department of Economic a
 nd Social Affairs\, Division of Sustainable Development Goals\, and UNESCO
 ’s Division of Science Policy and Capacity-Building. \n\nIn observance o
 f the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February)\, poli
 cy makers\, IGO representatives\, researchers\, scholars\, librarians\, pu
 blishers and civil society will engage in a dialogue about the opportuniti
 es and challenges of practicing open science.  \n\nUnder the theme “Acce
 lerating the Sustainable Development Goals\, Democratizing the Record of S
 cience”\, panels and keynotes will focus on three streams: \n\nEquity in
  open scholarship \nReforming scientific publishing \nStrengthening the sc
 ience-policy-society interface \n\n\nMore information\, including the conc
