SUMMARY:10th Science\, Technology and Innovation (STI) for the SDGs Forum 2
 025
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe tenth annual Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Science\, Techn
ology and Innovation for the SDGs (STI Forum) will be held from Wednesday\
 , 7 May\, to Thursday\, 8 May 2025\, at the UN Headquarters in New-York.\n
\nThe theme for the STI Forum 2025 is: “Advancing sustainable\, inclusiv
e\, and evidence-based\, science and technology solutions and innovations
for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs for leaving no one behind”. \n\nAs in p
revious years\, the theme of the STI Forum will be closely aligned with th
at of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF)\, t
 o be held from Monday\, 14 July\, to Wednesday\, 23 July 2025\, under the
auspices of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). \n\nThe STI Forum wi
ll have an exclusive focus on the role and contributions of science\, tech
nology and innovation to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Go
als. The 2025 HLPF will hold in-depth reviews of five SDGs: \n\nGoal 3. En

O is engaged in raising awareness and building capacity to leverage AI for
accelerating achievement of the SDGs. As part of its capacity building ef
forts\, WFEO has developed a roadmap for preparing the engineering and tec
hnology workforce for an AI future.\n\nIn addition to its impacts on the S
DGs\, AI has the potential to greatly improve UN processes including ensur
ing timely information gets to the HLPF leading to more robust and impactf
ul ministerial declarations. The UN with its global convening power can an
d should serve as the platform for building trust and confidence in the us
