International Conference on Innovations in Engineering Education – ICIEE 2021
November 10, 2021 - November 11, 2021
The Center for Innovation in Engineering Education (CIEE) of Batangas State University (BatStateU), a leading engineering university in the Philippines, welcomes academicians, educators, researchers, and industry practitioners from across the world to the very first International Conference on Innovations in Engineering Education (ICIEE 2021) that will take place
Backed with 50 years of quality engineering education, BatStateU continues to press on towards the goal of contributing to the macro- and global levels of development through the improvement in engineering education.
Paraded by distinguished speakers from their respective specializations and industries, this virtual conference will render a picture of challenges, solutions, and opportunities to further strengthen and concretize the role of engineering educators in our collective economic, social, and environmental futures.
The theme of the conference “Engineering Educators: Active Drivers of Innovation” reminds us that there is no better time but now to adapt, advance, and raise the bar for engineering education.
The Chair of the WFEO Committee on Women in Engineering Yetunde Holloway will speak at the Day 1 Panel Discussion. This will be on November 10, 1:30-3:30 PM (Philippine Standard Time).
The theme of the said panel discussion is Inclusion and Diversity in Engineering Education. The thematic area reads: “The importance of diversity and inclusion in engineering education has gained prominence in recent years due to the increased need for global collaborations and industry partnerships. Engineers of today are expected to work in diverse teams and within different cultures.
Thus, initiatives in engineering aim to tear down divisions in gender, ethnicity, national origin, economic status, and disability. This panel discussion is a shared platform within the global community allowing for the exchange of best practices and efforts toward achieving international learning outcomes in collaborations and bridging the industry-university gaps, thereby maximizing learning opportunities and stakeholder value all across.”
