Last 4 February, WFEO President Elect Dr. Marlene Kanga has been interviewed for the podcast Shirtloads of Science presented by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, a media personality on science in Australia.

Dr. Kanga talks about the value Engineers bring to society, explains which specialties are attracting female engineers and what Australia can do to catch up with some of the leading nations in termes of gender parity.

She also talks about the place of the engineers in the developing countries, the Australian women engineers, the importance to be a chartered engineer in the Asia region and the Australian STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics ) strategy.
