EAI International Conference for Research, Innovation and Development for Africa – ACRID 2017

EAI International Conference for Research, Innovation and Development for Africa - ACRID 2017

20 – 21 June 2017 | Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

The EAI (European Alliance for Innovation) conference seeks to bring together academics, researchers and industrialists across many disciplines, in particular those that have the most impact in Africa’s Development.

The Conference Main Theme is: “Moving Africa forward through Engineering, Technology and Innovation”.

The ACRID conference has already attracted participants from Africa, Europe and the United States and will be held on 20 and 21 June 2017 in Zimbabwe, at the Victoria Falls, one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Most conferences on the continent have covered limited disciplines and therefore the opportunity has been lost sharing information, results and knowledge in a way which can solve the many contentious issues, most of which can be solved through a multidisciplinary approach.

The Call for Papers will invite papers from the following areas:

  • Electronics, Communications and Computer Systems,

  • Energy and Power Systems,

  • Multi-discipline approach to the solution of problems and application of innovation in industrial Production,

  • Mining, Transportation, Engineering Education and participation of youth and women in Engineering and Technology.

The conference aims to bring together researchers in academia and industry, students pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies. Specifically invited to the conference are industrialists engineers who spent much of their time tackling problems related to industrial production, problems related complex operations in agriculture, mining, railway transport, and aviation, heavy industry manufacture and process industries.

The Paper submission deadline was March 15, 2017, but posters will be open after this date. All presented papers will be published by Springer and submitted for indexing in Scopus, Google Scholar and Elsevier.

We will however still accept Invited Papers from prominent personalities in the Engineering Community until 20 April. Registration details will be made soon after the paper reviews, scheduled for 29 April, 2017.

Those that would like to have the papers published in the Springer Conference Book should adopt the Conference style detailed on the Website.

There will be a WFEO workshop on Engineering Ethics and the ISO anti-bribery management system standard, ISO 37001.

The workshop will be run by the WFEO Committee on Anti-corruption (CAC) which is hosted by Zimbabwe.
