With a clear understanding of the importance of alternative energy for the future of humankind, WFEO and the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) invite students and young engineers to make their own contribution to the Engineering Congress on "Alternative Energy Applications: Option or Necessity?" from 2nd to 6th of November 2009 in Kuwait.

To integrate the young technical community actively into this event, an international online network connection has been established, realized by young volunteers in and outside Kuwait. The congress will include special events for students and young engineers:

Special Session & Workshops for Students:
to improve and sharpen knowledge and skills, to mix and present ideas, findings, and experiences.
Students' Contest "Alternative Energy Applications":
The Kuwait Society of Engineers invites engineering students (age limit: 30 years) to formulate and present their own ideas for future alternative energy applications at the congress. The students' contest includes competitions in 2 categories (1. undergraduate, bachelor, 2. M.S., PhD). Deadline for the submission of abstracts: 15th July 2009.
Virtual Forum, formed through the Internet:
to create a “virtual congress” for those who cannot participate "physically" at the congress.
Social Gathering:
Students and young engineers will be invited to the Social Gathering, one of the main highlights of the congress - with traditional music, lights, media, food, drinks … It will take place in an open area with a beautiful view.
Special Trips for Students and Young Engineers:
not only presenting different types of alternative energy, but also Kuwait’s culture, heritage, and history
